Field Service Technician (Solar Inverters)

Job Description

We are working with one of the largest manufacturers of solar inverters in the world. The US team is growing aggressively and will install Gigawatts of central inverters this year into some of the largest and innovative utility scale solar and energy storage projects in the country.  

We have been asked to help them ramp their Field Service team responsible for commissioning new installations along with the repair and maintenance of inverters installed across more than 300 sites.  

We are looking for individuals with a strong electrical background (Licensed Electrician or Electrical Engineer) with experience servicing and repairing high-voltage electrical equipment. Renewable Energy experience is prefered, but not required. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, with a self-starter attitude interested in joining a dynamic team. The Field Service Technician will be largely responsible for projects in a given region, but may travel to other regions as needed. This is a field-based role with heavy travel expectations up to 75%.

To be successful, you will need:

  • 3+ years’ experience in solar or similar industry (Wind, UPS Systems, variable speed drives, etc.)
  • Excellent repair and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with medium to high voltage
  • Ability to travel heavily, up to 75% of the time
